Making Merlin: Part Three

While painting has taken up the most of our time, we have done quite a bit more: made pillows, re-installed the couch and dinette, put up a black-splash, took out the old school televisions, sanitized the fresh water tank, started making curtains and probably a few more things that I’m forgetting.

This has been an unbelievable amount of work – but it’s really been a labor of love. Having been renters for so long and never having the opportunity to change much with our surroundings – it’s been a blast having total control over what this home will look like!

Bryan is really the best partner I could ask for in life and definitely for this kind of a project. He’s so talented and can figure out almost anything! Thankfully we’re both super excited and really into this renovation. When one of us is dragging a bit – the other is the motivator. At times it’s been blazing hot, super frustrating, a bit overwhelming, and/or stressful – but we’ve made it through with only a few minor arguments and definitely a ton more laughing until we’re in tears moments. It’s been a lot of work but also A LOT of fun and I am so proud of what we’ve done so far.
